Overview
An open source recruitment screening system built with Django, Next.js and the Claude API. It reads incoming applications against a role and produces a structured assessment rather than a keyword match.
Built to show what an LLM is genuinely good at in hiring — reading unstructured text carefully — without pretending it can make the decision.
The challenge
Keyword-based applicant screening filters out good candidates who describe their experience differently, and lets through anyone who copied the job description into their CV.
Reading every application properly does not scale past a few dozen.
The solution
Structured extraction from application material, assessed against explicit role requirements so the reasoning is inspectable.
A review interface where a human makes the call, with the assessment as input rather than a verdict.
Key features
- Application intake and structured extraction
- Requirement-based candidate assessment
